Exclamation We Want Yaris

The rising gas prices are actually helping the Yaris to gain popularity, and , I dare say, affection.

On this thread, you are going to see more and more etc.

Even will not hurt your wallet too much if you do it safely without excessive , with a Yaris of course .

to all who post their fuel economy here!

Yeah, my Yaris was the only Yaris outside of work parking lot, now there is three. another hatch (like mine) and a sedan. bahahaha. It really get people to notice and ask around until they found out the first Yaris is mine, they start asking about 1. Price, 2. How is it on Gas. Hahahaa.

Well I work at/for THE largest oil refinery on the East Coast, and my co-workers actually like my choice of beater. I have a rather long commute, so when they spend 120+ bucks a week on gas, they go nuts when I say I just got another 400 miles out of a tank.

And the important thing is we give up little to achieve our fuel economy. We still sit comfortably in our drivers' seats, our cars are still relatively roomy, we still get the convenience features we want ,our cars are still quite agile, long trips are still comfortable, and yet we save money on fuel.................... .

Best fill so far was today, 40.6 MPG US. Worst tank so far was about 37. 3800 miles so far, and I live and drive in a hilly rural environment, so not much city driving, and the most recent fill was largely highway. I'm still loving my MT S Sedan

anyone else have to regularly fill up in a "reformulated" (10% ethanol) area?

i am only getting 33-36 mpg, but can only run this crap gas..i "think" that i get better milage when i am outside of this 2 county (the one i live in, and the one i comute to work in) zone

just wondering if it is just me wanting to belive that i get better milage when not running what i subconsisly think is "bad gas," or if the gas is the reason for my lower than average MPG's

i tend to think of myself as a good, eficient driver, but still low milage's...

The higher the ethanol volume the more fuel you will use.
On the bright side it's a cleaner burning fuel.
if you switch and run a non ethanol fuel your mileage will increase slightly

Hmmm I thought the ethonol fuel was bad for the car?.....thats good to hear that it is cleaner fuel because I live in a 10% ethonol area too.

Funny how the 10% blends (which you will see a difference in MPG) are still the same price as regular non blended gas. Really pisses me off!

Im in a ethanol blend state (NY) and really see the difference in my numbers (im getting 26mpg avg.). It may involve other factors but im contributing the gas to a big percent (along with making lots of short trips).

Anyone know how to research which areas do and do not have 10% ethanol?
