my new (used) wheels are sitting in my living room - waiting for my tires to get here!

My spikes just came in! I can De-badge and move my front license plate now!

Sometime in the future I'm going to powdercoat these - probably pink. I'm not the biggest fan of gold but for the price I paid I couldn't pass these up. thats not curb rash, it's on the rubber. the have a few nicks here and there but its mostly paint that came off.

These are going on the liftgate where the Toyota badge is, and in the holes for the front license plate. don't know if or where I'll put more.

Cannot wait to see pics of these spikes in! Awesome idea!
This thread is great, also looking forward to seeing the headliner!

My girlfriend wants to sticker-bomb my whole car now, after seeing this. We'll see.

Originally I was worried about people bumping into them and or taking them, but lock-tite ought to help with the later of the two. Debating painting them as well. going to leave the first two unpainted and see how they hold up.

If someone bumps into them and screws up the liftgate, that's all the more reason for me to speed up the process of buying the fiberglass / carbon fiber one.

having a bit of a standstill on putting spikes in place of my rear toyota emblem, as i pulled the interior plastic out first just to double check and make sure the two holes were even, and it looks to me that they are in fact, not going to be straight. can anyone confirm this for me? don't want to pull my emblem only to have crooked spikes!

The two holes under the rear emblem are not straight.

I think your Yaris is white, right? He has the white plastic ones of those too. That might look okay. If all else fails.. put some stickers over it XD

Yeah, its white. The color matched skulls would look better. Guess I could always put stickers on them, didn't think about that.

Oh look, new wheels and tires.

They sit about a half inch smaller in diameter than the stocks. very very pleased about that. Also, they're a few pounds lighter and i can feel a slight difference in acceleration which is always a good thing. No rubbing as of yet and I drive a fairly windy / bumpy road daily for work :) Now to get the coilovers!

also, family photo.

EDIT: bored and messed with my sub. Wonder if that'll affect sound? if it does, oh well, it was a free sub anyhow. the middle piece was pushed in so i covered it. if it sucks i'll just buy the one i want.
