I've never seen a "semi automatic" Yaris. I read the section about it in the Haynes manual for the Mk1 and it seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. 5 speed all the way.

sounds extra expensive. probably not worth repairing. cheaper route would be buy a newer engine/transmission/ecu and appropriate shifting mechanisms and install. not semi-auto.

But if your sense is correct--the clutch motor is gone--replace the clutch motor.
(I got the sense reading a Smart Car forum that it's "won't engage reverse" problem was deeper in Hal.)

(After all, you've got a Toyota product. Smart Car came from a cluster including Swatch Watch, Mercedes, Chrysler and one or two more--Peugeot or Renault or something.)

If everything is alright with your car and does not require significant investments, you can fix it. If you manage to do it for a small sum of money, I suggest selling it and buying a new car. If you won't fix it, then the best thing to do is scrap your car. At least you will be able to make some money on that. There are a lot of companies that can provide you help with this task. Just make a search on Google search engine and be sure to find something interesting there. Good luck to you.
