I rock the Royal Purple, changed every 5k miles. this way if i bottom out I know that purple means oil and pink means radiator fluid.

Amsoil 5W-20 full synthetic + Mobil1 premium synthetic filter.
My intervals are 10'000 km. No perceived difference from genuine Toyota 5W-30 motor oil, so far. Regardless of your oil, you should always be using a high quality filter.

go to napa and buy eneos 5w30 and the napa gold or platnium oil filter , eneos is made by nippon oil company in japan its the number one oil in japan and it is very good oil i have used it for years, its also used in the high end japanese cars it is 100 percent synthetic i run it in my cars for 7000 miles. red line oil, royal purple ,lucas oil, castrol edge , shell synthetic, and quaker state synthetic oil is ok, but it is hard to find their specs in print, like four ball wear, base stock mixture, boiling point, total base number, and other ingredients. mobil one used to be good oil untill it was bought out by exxon oil, and castrol oil is just a shell company their oil is made by whom ever they get the cheapest oil from, but its your decision , amsoil is the best oil out but its pricey unless you get the 5w30 10000 mile brand they sell but you need to use their oil filter to get the 10000 miles for service intervals

At 30,000 on odometer is it ok to switch to a synthetic or better to stay with same as factory installed? All dealer service so far using standard mobil 5w30 and toyota filters.
