WRC Yaris documentary 2017 (52min)

Just finished watching "Toyota WRC on the path to comeback - Building a team from scratch" on youtube. Very interesting video IMO. That Yaris is crazy fast!

Description:
Documentary that takes us behind the scenes over the 500 days leading up to Toyota's return to World Rally Championship racing after an 18-year hiatus.

Enjoy!

Nice find. I wish all of the time in R&D on Toyota's part actually lead to serious sport version of a yaris. Toyota has repeatedly shown a lack of interest in this however

If they actually built a clean looking, 2300 pound Yaris with ~150hp and left off the stupid spoilers, flares and other wedges and widgets (i.e. the new Civic type-r), I think it would be a hit. Keep it simple, fast and retain the reliability and I for one would be 1st on the list to buy one. Why would anyone buy a problematic Mini Cooper S or Fiat Abarth, if given the choice of a reliable car like the Yaris with some punch. I could easily be driving one of those if I wanted, but all the power and fun factor is pointless if I'm not sure the car will start in the morning or if I may not make it back from a day trip.
