doing 35 in a 45 is not fun, actually it is scary. yes they can be fun as a recreational vehicle but as day to day transportation, not so much.

I wish the US was more scooter friendly. I think they're great for around town commuting and would do much to alleviate traffic congestion if enough people would use them. I've had enough of 1 person commuting in a monster SUV. (Yes it happens in NYC too, and makes even less sense here.)
I have often thought that of all the US cities, New York would be the most logical for scooter transportation. You do see some but its still a rare sight. I'm in Europe frequently and they are much much more common there. Of course over there other drivers are aware of your existence. Here my fellow drivers can't even manage to detect my Yaris and continually attempt to merge into the space that my car is currently occupying. I would fear for my safety on a scooter. For the record I do not own a scooter. |

Old mopeds are worth moon stones when they are not raped ..
Here in Finland is still loads of 50's 60's and even 70's mopeds.. after WW2 here wasn't money at all and everything had to be cheap ! Mopeds were needed because of long distances ! This is 60's Solifer with Sachs engine |

Had a 1980 Honda Express II early on. 50cc, no pedals, Two stroke. What was nice about the Honda Ezpress II was it had a separate oil tank for the two stroke oil so there was need to pre mix. Went from that to a 650cc so I was lucky I didn't get killed jumping from 50cc from 650cc. The Honda Express was fun though.
