Question Who went through Toyota for their financing??

I was planning on going through my own local bank...or whoever offers the lowest rates, but the salesguy mentioned to me that Toyota shops financing for the lowest rates kind of like a mortgage broker would and can often times get lower rates because of the amount of business they do...

I had not heard of this before and was just curious?

I was able to get better financing through the dealerships. One is with the Toyota itself and the others they arranged through banks. They shopped and found me the best rates available at that time.

Of course it doesn't hurt to check the rate at your local bank or credit union before going to the dealership just to make sure you are getting the best deal possible.

I went directly through Toyota Motor credit and got 3.79% back in April.
Seemed ok so I went for it!
It was real easy that way, no running around getting forms or approvals before getting the car.

I Know for a fact (in New Zealand anyway) Toyota can beat any bank rate
if they want to as they finance the car in house ,with TOYOTA Finance Co
(past employer).

Holy cow! How many months?

My FICO is in the mid 700s and I don't have any debt outside of my mortgage so I'm hoping for a rate like that!

Made a mistake, it's actually 4.74% 60 months.
Still not bad I suppose.
This was before the whole stock market/credit lending thing hit bear in mind.....
I still think it's a decent rate and did'nt have to do all the "footwork" myself.

I went though Toyota Credit too. Mine's 6.5% @ 60 months payments are $305 a month, but I'll have it payed off by next summer. I been paying $600-700 a month in payments. Also sold my 1989 4Runner last winter and got $3700 for it, to put it on this car.

4.75% is still a great rate! I did a pre-approval through my bank at 5.74% and Toyota was able to offer 5.14% (this was a week ago). My payments when from ~$230/mo to $198/mo for the same time period (I put over 1/3rd down) so I grabbed it.

Cheers! M2

Out of all the financing offers the dealership came back with, Toyota had the highest rate of interest out of all of them.

My base HB 2008 with power package and A/T was $14,160. I put down $5k.
Payments are a very affordable $212 per month. That includes the $659 Platinum extended 75k warrentee in there.
$53 a week and I get to enjoy something nice......
I plan on milking out the loan for the full 60mo. though I wish I could swing 2-3 payments at a time.
I'm still real happy with my choice and people still ask "is it a hybrid" and "how many MPGs you get on that thing"?
Gotta luv the Yari. Cheap car that does'nt look like a tinney POS, LOL!

I stuck with the toyota loan too. I did look around and couldn't get lower on the interest--unless if you are part of an awesome credit union-which I'm not

I ended up getting a great rate with Toyota Financial compared to anyone else. My car I traded in, it had a rate of 17.25. My Toyota is giving me 7.25. HUGE difference, but, lot better then the 2001 Saturn.

i financed through toyota also...got approved thought my credit union, then when it was time to purchase, sales guy was giving me a higher rate, was going to use the credit union (@ 7.75 i think) and then finally went to sign the final papers with the finance agent (?) and he gave me 6.5.
