MWR BUILT CYLINDER HEAD – TOYOTA 2ZR-FE

MWR head, ported by MWR, MWR springs inside, MWR stage 1 cam shafts inside
Was installed in my 2zr and ran for 100 km. Item is for sale since I swapped 2zz instead of 2zr.
Here are the links to read about the items:

https://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/p...toyota-2zr-fe/
https://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/p...zr-fe-stage-1/

You can easily calculate the price from MWR. The price is 1200 USD net of shipment costs.
Willing to ship anywhere.

How did the car run with the head and cams? Was that with stock tune?
Curious as to why you went with a 2zz when you had a 2zr already installed

It was stock tuned. I did not have dyno but it was fun. Compared it with 1.8 Honda Civic. Yaris was faster. Just feelings of course.
I went with ZZ since wanted more

Is the head upgraded with MWR's higher compression springs and retainers for higher rpm option?

Hmm, I'm definitely interested, however I dont have the funds right now so I'll have to sit this one out.

Did the cams sound any different than the factory ones, how did they run with the stock tune?

I did not notice any change in sound actually. With stock tune you can definitely feel the difference at higher RPM.

sorry, last question, then I'll leave you alone. Are you able to pull the head off the 2zr while keeping the timing cover in place? or does the whole timing chain cover have to be removed?
