Shifting on Automatic Transmission

i took this from youtube but this ones only E85 converted and slightly tuned(E85), so its pretty much stock 1NZ with 4speed. anyways i see some people kept on asking how people shift through the gears on AT..you can actually shift L(1)->2->3->D without any issues...dont let go of the acceleration when you shift...just shift up when your about to red line...

Yes of course you can manually shift an automatic transmission. And whoever filmed that video should have focused on the tach instead of the speedo.

Yes, you can always manually shift an automatic transmission; but you'll never get a manual transmission to shift automatically!

I've driven manual my whole life. The only auto trans I've ever had my name on the title is my wife's yaris so i don't have a ton of experience with auto. Does shifting like this shorten the life of a transmission at all?

i just posted up a video, check it out.
hmmm....here in thailand they beat the auto transmission but i dont see anyone having issues yet. people here like to use performance fluids(hks etc) since japans close to thailand and parts/products are much cheaper than u.s...
i beat mine reving all the way through and im not having any issues yet...of course i drive on D mode but when i hit the free way with bunch of curves its on 😤😤😤😤
