Fuel consumpion for Yaris TS

So I wonder how much fuel is your car using. Mostly interested in TS models from 2007 and up.

My driving is mostly in the city.Small roads ,highway and so on. Daily I cover around 25km (15,5miles).
I push the car quite often,with fast acceleration in second and third gear.98% of the time me alone in the car.
When driving like this with one tank (42liters) I cover 405km(250 miles). Bad I think but ok.
But few times I tried to drive really slowly and carefully trying to see how much can I get from one tank.
The best so far I got was 450km (280miles). And I think thats bad.
That would be around 26 mpg.

Yes the car is all stock.Tires are Yokohama DB 205/45 17inch.

Yes the car is all stock.Tires are Yokohama DB 205/45 17inch.

Pretty much what I get from my 2008 TS. If I keep my feet light I can manage to get 30mpg

I have a Cold air intake, underdrive crank pulley and a free flowing catback exhaust.

with mine,in the city(minimum 50km/day up to 100km/day) between 7.8l/100km up to 10-11l/100km.when i rich 7.8l i drive very soft..very very soft..outside city with a very soft drive i obtain under 5.5l/100km even 5l/100km..like a diesel..when i drive hard i obtain ~11-13l/100km.i can tell you that at top speed that's around 200km/h(205 on the gps) the computer says 12.5l/100km.these days i beated a 520d bmw new model ..very excited...

I went skiing with a friend last weekend. Some 500km (310miles) round trip.On the way there I drove slightly hard (eager to arrive soon) and on the way back I drove really slowly(tired from skiing + rain/snow and bad weather). 95% country road with speed limit 80kmh(50mph).
I got 34,5mpg. It's good ,I was happy. (even thought we used almost whole tank to go and come back).
If I drove forth and back keeping the speed limit all the time I think I could get even better mpg.And we also had skiis on the roof and bunch of equipment in the car.

Yeah,I must add that now I have winter tires and 15" rims.(contra 17" for sommer).
Mpg in the city is also improved but not that much.

im down in SA, i have a 09 ts and i cant for the life of me get more than 375 out of my tank. i do mostly city driving with seldom long distance. on average i get btwn 9,5 to 11 with normal driving. when i push it from traffic light to traffic light it goes up to 13. bt i love the car so i cudnt be bothered bou the petrol consumption....i jus sink the accelerator whenever i have the urge to do so lol...

Around 30 mpg city and highway combined. Inside the city it goes up, around 25 mpg.

I also get about 350/375 kms per tank (26 mpg), city driving with a somewhat happy foot.... but when I fill up it takes only about 9 gals, so I do not go all the way to 12 gals on the reserve flashy thingy

i get between 450-490km per tank and put in about 39L (10.3GAL) and its mix of city and country (no highway) lol, i thought i was doing bad.... lol, and i'm a teen so i drive like one too :)

Last 3 times I was waiting to refill petrol ,last bar blinking - 10km more to go so I go to fill. I can only fill 32 liters.
Is tank supposed to take 42 liters or what?

yeah , im the same with my1.8 TS , about 350 - 380 km max per tank.

i wonder why its so heavy on fuel ?? isnt it suppose to be better than that by design ? i can understand if it made alot more power , but its not that much to warrent being so heavy.

Depends on running. Can attain as low as 5.9l / 100km if open road / urban combined at about max 100kmh limit, severely limited with fines and demerits, so dont exceed speed limit normally, and up to 7.2 l / 100km if just urban in traffic at about 20 - 60kmh. Average per tank is about 500km - sometimes risk 535km before refill, sometimes 500km.

Need info on JDM parts in Japan. Please inform if you know of definite dealer that has exhaust / suspension, as want to try buy in Japan this week.

I'm getting 22,5 mpg in summer and 25,5 mpg in winter on the same route and pure city driving. The difference could be narrower tires (205 <-> 185) and a bit heavier foot on sticky summer asphalt :)

But then again, this summer I was drafting behind a big truck for around 4 hours at a distance of 3-4 meters and got 52 mpg :-D
Needless to say I was amazed but the driving was very psychologically challenging.
