Limited slip differential options

Hey guys.

Just trying to get a post (sticky?) that has all options for LSD in it. I'm not an expert, so will need help. Part numbers would be great

-Kaaz clutch type 1,1.5,2 way.

-Cusco clutch type

-OS Giken clutch type

-Quaife helical

-TRD helical(obsolete but used available.)

-OE helical from JDM (I don't know anything about these. Same as TRD? Which vehicle have them?)

-OBX helical (do they even make one for the Yaris?)

Not going to include Phantom Grip as they are not proper LSD.

Any additions (companies, part numbers, options, required fluids) and corrections would be great.

Thanks.
Cory

Just going to add a tag for "torsen" in case someone is searching.

There's a few options for Quaife, based on which gearbox/engine you have:
1.5 L 1NZ-FE > QDF15E
1.8 L 2ZR-FE > QDF21E

Both of these units are 8-bolt, but the 21E uses the larger output shafts of the 1.8 L model, and has a different shoulder diameter for the front ring gear. If you have a 1.5 L, you need the 15E.

I guess that means one needs to be careful getting a used helical from JDM or EU. Good info. Thanks.

I believe that your 2NZ-FE Yaris over there is paired with the C54 transmission. If that is the case, then you require a different LSD than what is used with the C50 for the 1NZ-FE.
