cargo area light question

so i recently removed the cargo light, well the entire panel since it is attached. Since I did that, is seems my battery is being constantly drained, it won't start, but when i hook my battery pack up, it starts instantly.

is there a fuse somewhere for this light, or would the system know the light isn't there and this is just a sign that my 4 year old battery needs to be replaced?

With the bulb removed, it won't draw current, so I would suspect that it is a coincidence. The cargo area light runs off the dome fuse, so you wouldn't want to remove it.

Something I noticed when I was installing my LED license plate frame was when I unhooked the license plate light itself, none of the tail lights would work. I guess all that has to connect to work.

I noticed when I removed it how everything back there does seem to all be wired together. I also noticed how easy it looked to take out the taillights.

It is easy to remove the bulb sockets and the tail light itself...I like simple.
