I have the same squeak sound but for both passenger and driver side vents.

Annoying , NO ? But is it REAL ? They'll check for those SQUEAKING vents when they change your oil .

and jsut a follow up mine is quiet most of the time....as found out tonight not quiet at all if the car is cold, lol

have the same squeaking noise especially when I turn heating on on the cold days thus this mean that I have problems with the A/C as described ? I will have a look on that since I hate this sound's a lot ;)

if it is from using the heater for the first time in a long time, see if it goes away in a week or two of heater use. It could just be the heating stuff not used to being used.

I was using the fan but obviously not heating in the summer( using A/C) ;) now I am heating since the temperature is below 5 degree now :)

its a plastic on plastic noise, i think im gonna remove the stupid vent!

Try the foam experiment I posted for some possible relief to the ears , posts #11 and #13 of page 1 . If you do give it a try , let us know how it works out . The cup holders in front of both vents can rattle as well . Good Luck .

the part that is actually making the noise is the vent ring pressed against the dash...if the vent is removed and a fabric spacer is installed the sound should be gone

Maybe a sticky back felt would be good fix where the connection is .
