All the time or when cruise control is on?

Don't all the new Toyotas do this?

Just about everything does this as its for emission requirements in the US.

Do not stick lighters in the ac vents on top of the radio
they do explode

no matter how much shit people talk about the yaris its still best fun for the price in my eyes

if you dont have a rear sway bar your missing out

for long term movement of certian items a quick screwdriver to the side door panel handle pops of and allows for long term secrete stash that can easily be gotten to if need be in case of quick consumption {put alittle change in it so it makes alittle noise and covers up missing screw

back rear seat was easier to take out than i thought

change your battery every 2 half years if you drive alot
you cant imagine how much power you get back from a new battery.

front cup holders can be stuck closed with quarterz
dont let your friends know.

all in all the yaris is a fun little car and can say im thankful for it but wish i coulda had it in rear wheel drive.

Not sure if it's a secret, but if it happens to someone else, maybe my experience will help. Don't keep too much junk and plastic bags in your glove box. I had a bag get sucked into the cabin filter area and it made me think the AC ductwork came loose. I also had a hose come off the vent selection knob come off about the same time. Maybe the blockage caused it to pop off.

Word. At LEAST I paid cash for mine and not a bunch in interest; that's SOME consolation!

Now, now... Note the little symbol forbidding us to put cups in the driver and passenger side door indentations; the symbol insists that's for "bottles" only!

my tip, and i'm sure you all know this one: put your warm bottle of water or drink in the holder next to the steering wheel and put the air con on cool and angle the vents at the bottle and voila! ice cold drinks again!!
Hah! I have been doing that for a while! Quite amazing how cold a bottle of water will get!

My Secret: You can buy a Yaris with your gas money from a Nissan Xterra!

Deceleration Fuel Cut Off. (I speak of my knowledge of my 2008 RS 5dr liftback automatic).

When the gear selector is in D, and you are coasting for more than 3 seconds above 1250 rpm, the ECU stops sending voltage to the fuel injectors, which means no fuel is going in to the engine, and no fuel is being consumed. If you are over 1250 rpms, and move the selector to 3, 2 or L, it's instantaneous - there is no 3 second wait.

nothing like going down those big hills for free!

Base L, no power windows:

If you have a bottle of water, in the door holder, any basic store brand size. You will bust your knuckles on the bottle cap rolling down the window.
