At top speed are you saying to yourself, "She's breaking up! She's breaking up!", or is it fairly smooth, suspension and engine-wise?

I assume the ECU stops you from going any faster, right? In older cars, wouldn't it sometimes shut down a couple cylinders and make the engine feel wonky?

Wow; I would have bet a paycheck that you were just kidding. The article you linked plus a little Googling and now I really do think it's interesting.

So, theoretically, if you were on a long, straight downhill grade, you would be able to achieve a higher top speed, right?

but anything going on a long hill downgrade will in essence get a higher speed even if it doesnt read due to momentum. in a vaccum on an infinate down hill grade smooth no imperfections, ever car would eventually reach their own termininal velocity.

Wow, the Yaris maybe faster than my 2.4L Scion XB. My XB was accelerating extremely slowly at 104. I think I was at redline. The XB is more fun to drive but also is much thirstier.
