Our new ride

Well, I was going to sell my Yaris because we bought a 2005 Mustang Convertible, but the girl came and liked the Yaris, but loved the 2009 Fit. I figured, I owned the Yaris and if we sold the Fit, we would only have one car payment. I'm glad I kept the Yaris. It is in perfect condition. Anyhoo, here is a pic of our new to us Mustang!

I friggin love the Mustang! I changed the oil to Valvoline Synthetic. I also changed the manual tranny fluid and rear end fluid to Amsoil Synthetics. Dropped in a K&N and now it rides so nice. I get 30-32MPG on the highway. Not bad at all... :)

check to make sure it had an SRS update/recall performed....unless it was one of the few that didn't need it.....

basically the airbag was/is deployed 'with too much force' somehow....

Nice! How much did you get for the Fit? Just curious.

We sold the Fit for $15,500. It had 17K miles on it. The buyers didn't want the extended warranty that we bought, so we cashed it in for $1200.00. We owed $17,000.00. We only lost about $300.00 in the deal.

I put a Hurst Shifter in the Mustang. It is now quite the dream to drive. The stock shifter was long throw and rubbery and vague. The Hurst is short and knotchy. No more missing gears! I love it!

Here's a little review.

Hm. I've owned a few Rustangs over the years, always a lot of fun. First one was a 67, last one was an 80 hatch. New ones are fat!! Nearly a thousand pounds heavier than my 67!

Well done. I'm sure the guy who got it is happy too.
