Question Disconnecting rear hub ABS

I've ordered a replacement wheel bearing hub (making humming noise after 202,000kms), I've had a look at what i have to do and clean off road dirt, but the ABS connector won't come off and I afraid to apply too much force and break the connector.
I got the first part of the connector undone, the flap which unclips on the sides and then pivots away 90 degrees. It's the next (and last I think) part that is not moving, I felt with my thumb and finger for a release tab to squeeze and pull at the same time and the connector should come away, but it's not. I've sprayed WD40 onto it to soak. Am I missing something? How does the ABS connector come off? I hope it's not corroded on. I searched for abs info but found no threads describing the connector removal.
Any advice is much appreciated.
