Green 24 LED Turn Signals 7440

I installed my new 24 LED turn signal bulbs about 2 months ago now. I have been pulled over only once so far. I was not given a ticket as Federal trumps State and according to what I found on the DOT web portal as long as your bulb is not a distraction and not a color that EMS or Law Enforcement uses you are ok. The standard is Amber or Red however so when I go in to get my State inspection sticker I will have to put Amber in. I will have to post up a night shot later. The picture of course cannot capture how well they light up, but they do very very well.

Not in Calfornia; DMV code specifically states what colors are accepted here. You would definitely get the ticket.

Same thing in the state of Maine however when I called the State Police barracks they informed me that Federal will always trump state.

Uhm... Why? Those look like shit, I've seen'em in person.

Besides, if someone piles your rear-end, your insurance will hang you out to dry with a 100% at-fault accident...

Been a while since i have had the joy of bothering to read your flaming. I can;t say that I missed it. Tell me how it looks like shit? It is the same as amber or red, just a different color, plus I have already verified that my insurance company would not consider me at fault because of them. When I research, I research. I don't just do something arbitrarily. Your post like others I have seen recently remind me of why I would prefer to be at other forums and why they need to give the ability for the OP to be able to delete posts that they feel are not conducive to the thread.

Contradictory statement is contradictory.

This is taking on an unnecessary risk to 'look cool'. Which ironically, it doesn't.

The LEDs in amber or even red would've been fine. Green is just stupid.

I've been driving for 27 years. If there is one thing I've learned about Insurance Companies, is get that shit in writing. If you just have the word of some moron customer service rep on the phone, that is not binding. If they get a chance to hang you out to dry and not pay on a claim, they will. So just make sure you go to your local agent and have that added into your policy.

Just more reason to call YW quits I guess seeing as how after 5 years of being a member tact seems to still be a skill too many here haven't mastered. I may not agree with what some people have done however I am always respectful and tactful. I guess this just proves that after only being a member of "the other forum" for several moths it has a better class of member therefore I will stick to that one instead.

Mods, if you are monitoring this thread please lock as it has apparently outlived its usefulness.

Tact is something taken in discretion to those posting in replies to your thread and I'll grant you that some may have it more than others. Yeah, it may be your thread. However, you open yourself to positive AND negative criticisms when you post things on the internet.

So if people like your illegal 'unique' green turn signals, that's fine. They'll say so. If people don't like them, they'll say that as well. If you can't handle negative feedback, then maybe it is best that you're a member of 'the other forum'. Don't let the door smack you on the way out. :)

There is a right and wrong way to provide negative feedback. You chose to take the low road, maybe that is how you roll which is apparent by your "Don't let the door smack you on the way out." comment. This forum has seen some pretty good people with great contributions come and go because of ignorance like you have shown. Shrugs, I will make sure that I watch close so it doesn't scuff my bumper, thanks.
