Fixed the last edge :)

I gotta pat myself on the back a little.. I'm quite impressed with my craftmenship lol.. its the first time i've ever done anything like this.. I've plastered on bondo on rust spots and sanded .. but never sculpted anything like this before.. its all really level, contours well and super smooth! I cant wait to prime it today!

i did the top edge almost by memory and feel it was only high in one spot when i test fit it after the first shaping.

i cant wait to get this thing painted up :)

I found a vendor on ebay with blue carbon fiber vinyl that looks pretty real...lol but i think it would look kinda cheesy.. idk

i think i'm missing the point. If i paid that much for a hood, it will fit perfectly as it should or it will go back to the vendor. That is not normal or acceptable if you ask me.

i have another hour into it today to get the top edge.. i bet now that iam using the palm sander and dremel to the edges i could have the whole hood done in like 1.5hours max now that i have the process down. the hood was passed off to my father inlaw today who will give it to his best friend who is the paint manager at Sanel who will paint/clearcoat it for probably $50 or less :) getting it done the same color as the car :)

can't wait to get it back!

its a c-one replica.. aka knock off..

i noticed today when holding up in the sun that there are some light patches on the fiberglass.. (more see through in spots) Overall thought now that i put the time into it. i'm happy .. can't wait to get it back!

I stopped to talk to the body guy friday and he has been swamped and hadn't had time to play with it. but he said this week he should have time. he plans on smoothing out the surface a bit more before prime and paint. i cant wait to get it back. its going to be sick
