Can you believe I've never driven RWD. I feel so chaste and clean.

Right, but that car had a RWD conversion... they built it to drift.

Actually I'm not so chaste, I've driven my Mom's '82 or '83 (80-something) Celica that was RWD. But I barely had my license back then and wasn't so interested in discerning how the ride handled. I do remember easily sliding in the rain. I'm for FWD, for the most part. But all wheel drive sounds awfully tight on a Yaris. Toyota has 4 wheel drive on the Japanese Vitz (not to mention push button start). This car in the States is something very different overseas.

The body doesn't cut it for drifting in my eyes. Comparing it to my 240 and other dirft cars, they pretty much have the same profile ... long and low to the ground (even at stock height).

As for FWD drift cars, it is a different function but still considered a drift. Here's from my packet when I worked Formula D last year:

Quote:
FF Drift or front wheel drive drift is a technique in which the E-brake as well as steering and braking techniques are used to balance the car through a corner. Note that the E-brake is the main technique used to balance the drift.
