Talking Noisy Yaris? Vibrates at 2500rpm?

Hi all!

My Yaris since day one has an annoying vibration in any gear around 2500 rpm. The service guys couldn't hear anything (no surprise, I wasn't with them) but it vibrates constantly until I change gears and drop the rpm's to 2000. If I stay in gear and speed up, the vibration goes away as rpms rise towards 3000 and higher. It's particularly noticeable on a highway when I'm in 5th @3000rpm and go up a hill and as the rpms approach 2500 as the car slows down the car vibrates through my right foot which is on the gas pedal.

Is this just harmonics common in these little beasts?

TIA

If I'm reading this correctly, at above 2500rpm when you're cruising, you're feeling a vibration, but while accelerating, the problem goes away. Are you sure you don't have a twitchy foot? If the problem still happens at higher rpm, I would definitely look into the foot factor. If another experience driving (it doesn't have to be a mechanic) can't re-create the problem, then go get the foot examined.

Ok thanks dudes.

Poor design to be vibrating the most at cruising rpm. Turning up the radio doesn't fix it.

Still, I'm getting exactly 5.5L/100km on the highway going around 120km/h so the vibration isn't affecting performance

Mine is rock steady which means yours must have some sort of individual issue. Did you check to see if a wheel weight has been dislodged?
