The ABS light only comes on when there's something wrong with it I think

ABS lamps should come on when first started as a bulb check. Stays on for a few seconds then turns out. Silly question, but are you sure your car has ABS? Many don't

Otherwise it's possible the bulb is just burnt out (or missing. Sometimes people remove the bulb to hide a problem when selling). I would first confirm the car has ABS, then check for codes (if car was bought used), then remove cluster and inspect bulb.

Cheers.

Verify that you really have ABS by looking for the ABS pump an ECU below the brake master cylinder. If it is there there will be short metal pipes that connect it to the master cylinder and it will have a large connector (about 3 inches by 1.5 inches) plugged into it.

The instrument cluster gets the information over the CAN bus from the ABS ECU, so even if the ABS ECU was present and bad the cluster would still light the light for a second when the ignition is switched on, and if it doesn't send messages to the cluster once the car is running it will keep the ABS light on.
