hm. that looks clean.

on other cars, it looks pretty naked with a shaved-emblem look, but on the yaris, it looks pretty natural imo.

can't wait to see results in a sedan as well!

I pulled my emblems on a hot day and the whole thing came right off without leaving one peice of glue and I didnt use any fishing line. Just wiped off the dirt residue around the letters afterward.

Remember, you can always put them back on if you dont like the look.

3M Body Tape, the super thin, super strong double sided tape that body shops use, can be found.. just gotta look.

Before even going outside, just do a quick photoshop like I did, and see if you like the debaged look.

Yeah, an 85 degree Ohio summer day, some 8 lb test fishing line, and a little rub of the thumb and my badges are off. This should be a no brainer... the back end of this car has wonderful lines, too nice to have those two silver plastic badges. Not only that, but I found that a little PVC epoxy adheres that Yaris badge very well to your run of the mill Samsung cell phone. Right on... customized my car and my phone all in one day. Pictures of both soon... pretty priceless shit haha.

....then remember to was that area, and put a quick coat of wax on it.
That wouldnt have been my second choice of product to use, but to each their own.

How do you like the new look?

A great look, but at 112F with the west sun in the afternoon on a black HB in Las Vegas the badge almost falls off. The glue is like warm bubble gum. Huge inprovement to the toyota adverts stuck to the hatch!

new question: does the center toyota-logo badge have little notches in them, which would leave holes on the trunk if removed? just wondering.

Wish it did, i know it makes washing the front windshield a lot easier.
prius owners had the same thing- till someone found a way to make them pull back just like the front wipers by grinding the stopper or something like that.

it's in priuschat.com, but i can't find the link. sorry.

Great write-up, but removing glue is a real pain in the ass...

Have you just try to heat badges a little, then simply pull on it slowly? I debadge all my 5 previous cars and I simply heat the badges and pull on it slowly, then all the glue came with the badge!

One easy step! No mess to clean after!
