New rims - old tires

Ha-ha, I hope I don’t get banned for asking stupid questions but here
it goes…

I’m wanting to get new rims to replace the 15” steel ones that are coming
on my car. My question is this: Will the current tires fit on new rims?
I probably can’t afford 4 new tires too - I’m doing too many mods right
out of the gate.

Stock tires that came with the Yaris (on 15" rim) are 15" which are 185 65-R15 if I recall correctly.

Should be able to fit on any 15" rim..

wouldn't go wider than 6.5" though if you want to keep the stock tires.

why not just buy proper sized tires that way you have a spare set of wheels incase something bad happens?

My wheels are 15 x 6.5". They are slightly wider than the sock steelies and the stock tires fit beautifully.

I bought 15x7 wheels and put my stock tires on for a while untill I could afford my 225/50VR15's, it did look a bit funny for a bit, but it was much better than stock wheels... now I just run my stock wheel/tire combo for the winter
