nice work birdy, if only they were real and in your driveway:)

as far as the new look of the toyotas, i kind of think they are looking too much like the mazda line of cars, especially the new camry and yaris sedan.
the thing i really liked about the styling of the yaris hatch was that it is very unique, the sedan looks like it has been done before.

Mazda? I don't agree, but maybe it's just me.....I just don't see it.

the front grill looks very similar to me (mazda 3 and 6), and also the way the hood tapers in towards the grill.

check out the mazda 3 and camry

Thanks for showing the pics. I agree now, seeing them side by side like that. I still like the Toyota, and the Mazda 3 was up there on my list, but the Yaris won out.

i have no regrets with the yaris either, the mazda 3 is a nice car, but it isn't cheap for being only marginally larger than the yaris.

i just wonder why toyota decided to borrow from another company's styling rather than create something new like they did with the yaris hatch.

Id buy the Mazda 3 over a Yaris if they were the same price :P Unfortunately the Mazda 3 sedan costs about AU$6000 more than the Yaris Sedan! Sure the yaris doesnt have as much power, but its still a damn nice car for the price ;)

I dont think its a case of Toyota copying mazda, it's just the way the whole look of cars are evolving.... Partically due to styling, and partially due to saftey designs!
