LOW REV ISSUE

Hello,

I have a 2016 1.5 out of warranty Yaris with 70000km and new battery.

Every time I stop and start after short trips my revs go down to almost stalling. Need to keep foot on accelerator and drive for min 20 minutes then it goes to 800 rmp and car drives normally again.

Any idea what the problem is ? I read it could be an Oxygen sensor.

The ecu resets for roughly 30 min of run time after the battery is disconnected, keep using it and the idle speed will adjust itself. This has happened to my 07 over a dozen times and it used to spook me

Thanks for your message Brett.

Can you explain what you mean in your last message.

my problem is - After multiple continuous short trips my revs go down and sometimes stall the car. If I keep my foot on accelerator the revs go to 800 and car is healthy again.

Eg 7 am start-car ok, 720 switch off car-car ok 820 switch on-car ok 3pm start-revs go down any idea why ? otherwise car is fine I had it with old battery changed battery and problem is the same
