Best Investments:

NST Underdrive Pulley/AFE Stage 2 CAI, made a huge difference to me powerband-wise

DxR white wheels....really makes the car standout/pop

Worst Investments:

Winter gas, sucks the life out of performance and your wallet

Honorable Mentions:

Just about complete Eclipse sound system. the Eclipse H/Us are sweet and the clarity from Eclipse speakers is phenomenal in my book...

Haven't had my car for very long and haven't done much to it so far, but...

Best Investment: Rear Debadge (FREE!). Makes the back look so much cleaner, and takes minimal time and effort.

Worst Investment: I've bought some BP gas. Pricks!

Honourable Mention: K&N air filter. Should be helping my mileage a bit, but I don't really keep track.

BEST INVESTMENTS: Ebay purchased shortened shifter throw, CNC'd to Toyota Specifications but half the price. Factory MUD FLAPS. TRD filters and rear swaybar. ROSTRA CRUISE for my 08 Yaris Manual Tranny equipped model. 225/50r-15 Falken ZE-912's on 15x7 light alloys - yeah baby !!

WORST INVESTMENTS: Additional non-TRD underbracing ( NOT A TRACK RACER ), rear wing, exhaust mods - quiet and stealth keeps everyone happy.

Best investments:

Tein S-tech springs + Tokico blue HP's + Ultra Racing 23mm rear sway bar

Worst investments:

not really sure their was someting that was just terrible. I guess I would have bought a Simota SRI instead of the AFE, but that's not to say the AFE is terrible. It's not at all. Just like the styling a bit better of the Simota one.

I have had my AFE since summer 08, not really understanding how you feel that it is too noisy? From the outside or inside? I don't really think that it is too noisy...at least not in comparison to other performance mods

I need to edit my worst investments: aluminum engine cover...can't keep the damned thing clean!

MORE BEST INVESTMENTS I FORGOT: Redline 75W-90NS in the manual transmission, speed shifting is super smooth at any temperature. It takes approximately 2 quarts of the THIS NON-DIFFERENTIAL SLIP additive fluid. I double checked my paperwork to be absolutely sure of what I used in the two days after buying my then new 08 Yaris. Royal Purple oil based on climate conditions with a TRD Filter. I only use non-ethanol gas and add LUCAS Octane boost exclusively via bulk Ebay purchase at five dollars a bottle every other tank fill, two years no problems, no check engine lights.
I only use NGK/Denso Iridium plugs in all my vehicles, GREAT the Yaris had them already installed !!
HELLA NON-ULTRAVIOLET 100w-High/80w-Low headlight bulbs and they beat and outlast anything comparable on the market even though they are under ten dollars a piece. No complaints from on-coming drivers when using the low-beam position. The key is that they are non-ultraviolet thus much less irritating HIDS with my light coverage too. The Sylvania SilverStar would be my second choice and these can be found at WAL---LY---MART etc.

15x7 wheels and 225/50r-15 Falken ZE-912 tires, fits no scrubbing, my application since 2008 too. In case you are wondering, the same height as the 185/60r-15s that came with the car just reasonably wider with no loss of power. The factory mudflaps work perfectly with this setup. Pre-paint the mudflaps before installing if you desire.

Best: new tail lights
Worst: getting 20% tint on rear windows, I thought it would be darker than it is..

Since I have a new Yari, I have a new list:

Best: Tint (20% FTW)
Worst: Drop Zone springs .... stay away from them. They suck. They are super good springs, don't get me wrong - but they are WAY too low in the back, and constantly slice through plastic spacers and literally kick the metal ones out. I am getting TRD springs as soon as possible.

just got my 07 sedan last september, haven't done any serious mods yet..

but so far:

Best: De-badging and re-badging the car

for my future "best" list
NF210's
TRD sway bar..
tint - 20% rear 30% front

i've already purchased them (xept for the tinting).. just waiting for the winter season to pass by.. my girly hands don't like working on cold weather
