It feels like...like, warm apple pie.

Haha, sorry forgot to update here as well.

OK, so after a few hours of straight driving in every traffic condition available in one day I have to reccommend this part. It's fantastic, response is improved and the sound is tasty.

I dirted an LTZ about 30 minutes ago, he couldn't hang in the turns or overtake flat out in the open. I waved him past after a couple of minutes since I don't need any tickets.

I get a nice audible chirp from the intake(even with the windows down at speed)...sounds like a quiet BOV, I love it.

I swear it's improved drivability with the clutch/flywheel/pullies, I was getting some chatter if not carefull on slow starts...maybe I'm trippin but I didn't have that problem today unless I really tried to make it happen.I'll wait a few days before officially making that call.

Go and buy it.

It was $125 including shipping. They had cheaper ones but some of them look like they were underwarer salvage!
Is the TB a direct bolt on?

I couldn't tell you, I don't watch the MPG, I care only for RPM and MPH. ;)

This is really good news. Has anyone tested this in force induction?

Yes it is. The stud pattern for both is 60mm square. A 1ZZ throttle body will really make the MI manifold shine!

i bet it tastes just like chicken.

I am also guessing the 1zz throttle body will only hurt gas mileage.

My MPG decreased to about 27 city/35 highway since the 1ZZ TB and MI manifold install. I think the decrease is a product of me running the car up to redline a lot and generally beating on it A LOT more than I used too. There is this lump of power around 3500-4000 RPMs so I generally drive the car in that rev range and above all of the time.

So funny. So driving the crap out of the car you still get better gas mileage than the majority of vehicles on the road. Awesome.

Yes, which is exactly why I don't give a crap about MPG...worst case and we still get better mileage than most.

Running a 1ZZ does make it easier to reduce your gas mileage because with a larger bore it takes a lot less gas pedal movement to meter more air into the engine. Driving with a light foot has kept my mileage the same as the 1NZ.

Not yet, and it will be a while. I am still trying to find someone who will make an exhaust for me. I want to take out one of the cats and no shop around here will do that. Since I don't have the hook-up anywhere I am stuck waiting for this guy at work who offered to help me out, but he can't get to it for another month or two at least.

The plan is to get the exhaust finished, an o2 bung installed so I can get a wideband, then get an AEM FIC. That is bottom of the list though as I need to get a new driver's seat (currently using a old ratty Corbeau Forza) and a set of tires. First the needs, then the wants.
