My experience with clear coat failure to repaint

The clear coat on the roof of my 07 Yaris started forming holes. I brought it to a local Toyota body shop (Ken Shaw Lexus Toyota), and received a quote for $300 CDN+tax ($339 CDN total). Although, the manager gave me a verbal quote of $250+tax. I have no proof, but I digress. I'm happy with the end results. It was a 3 business days turnaround.

After (those are water spots):

I also asked about the paint process, and the body shop manager told me all Yaris are painted in layers. i.e. White paint does not have the clearcoat mixed in.
