The garage is full. I sometimes park in the driveway, however, the neighbor has this silver maple that drips sap on cars. There have been a few problems in the neighborhood.

As a driver? Yeah. As a Passenger it's a snap. If you think about it a sun roof toss would be tricky. You would have to lob it up and to the side and time it just right.

A passenger tossing the object out the window to the right simplifies the shot. You'd only have to keep it in the same plane and make sure it passed through the back window.

As a badly raised child, and as a maniac while in school, I used to toss things out of cars frequently.

I've tossed full beer cans (which can explode nicely), empty containers, coins, stones and eggs. I've also spit out the window, which for some reason gets the most rage. Why I do not know.

A classmate of mine and I used to play chicken on Pittsburgh's Homestead High Level Bridge, aka the Homestead Gray's Bridge.

We'd exchange objects like bottle caps, pennies and one time I tried to "board" his convertible Volkswagen by leaping onto it. The sick bastard caught me getting ready and pulled away at the last minute. Doing such crap on the bridge made it "more fun".

Tossing something out a vehicle window is comparable to lobbing a heavy object five or ten feet. You cannot make full use of your legs and must use the "kinetic energy" implicit in the vehicle's forward motion to cause damage.

Tossing a basketball or baseball for accuracy and distance is tougher than tossing something out the window.

With sufficient practice it's pretty easy to time the shot and nail the target. I could reliably nail an area the size of a Yaris's back window five feet or less away. All you need do is practice and not get caught.

Personally I think anyone who clowns around like this needs a hobby. For example, Judo, Karate or some other aggressive sport.

hope everything turns out fine. and do you have a garage?
Chances are that the culprit (most likely at least a pair of kids driving Mommy or Daddy's SUV) were out raising hell.

I note that the street has few vehicles parked on it. Random act of violence?

There is something about the Yaris which draws hostility from some people. It's so tiny that some folks consider it a juvenile vehicle. I've had people cut me off for spite and sometimes when I pass folks they become angry because a "little car" passed them.

Another possibility is that someone named "Nemelek" is Arab in appearance and thus gets singled out for special attention. A contemptible thing to do, but that's how some idiots out there roll. However such a person will probably do it again and get caught. Life will not be good for them next time.

Never knew that there was an "alcoholic's anonymous" sticker. Can't understand why that would piss anyone off.
