hey guys

those of you that have done a exhaust on a TS yaris , what size is the right size ? what kind of gains can be expected from cat back ? will something like the Megan racing N1 rear NA mufflers be ok to fit ? the one with the 4 inch tip ? can the rear exhaust muffler cause power loss or to much loss of back pressure and negativley effect performance ?

If I were you I'd forget about the exhaust and get a K&N Typhoon for your 1.8. They say on their website you will gain 5.3hp which is a LOT for a 350$ mod.

I have installed a cat back on my TS and I didn't see any power gains, the noise was nice but in daily use ... it drove me crazy and I installed the stock muffler back. If you want real power gains, get rid of the cat, straight pipe to the end, that should free up some hp.

yeah , i was thinking of just the exhaust by removing everything from the 2nd cat , going up to a 57mm pipe , should work well on the car.

at the moment i have the K&N flat panel in , but would definitly want to got the typhoon route.
