2012 Yaris SE extra part off rear

Hello everyone

I just installed my rear sway bar and when I installed it the hole in the front of the shock bolt was being used with some type of bumper looking thing that sits just in front of the bottom part of the shock. I removed it and the bar installs fine but I was wondering if I should put it back in or just leave it out?

That's the rear axle beam dynamic damper. It might be interesting to run it for a bit without it to see if you notice any difference.
