2007 sedan license plate bulb removal

I'm trying to replace my license plate lights, they finally went and I'm having trouble removing them. I checked my owners manual, and it's not extremely helpful. The manual shows a curved arrow, but when I try to turn the bulb housing, I feel like it's going to break. Do I turn it, or just yank it straight out? Thanks!

you turn then a quarter turn and then they just drop out. Once they are out you can just pull the bulbs straight out with light force.

To re install you put the bulbs back in the housing and then insert the housing into its place and then turn to secure it.

Thank you! I will try again. I've had her since 2006 and never had to change a bulb until now. I'm so afraid of breaking it!

I just swapped all my lights out with LED's, or at least all the ones that fit the 2 types of bulbs I bought. I just can't remember the bulb type or size.

Now if my dome light or map light is left on I don't have to worry about it draining my battery, and they last forever
