From JNC: Toyota launches bare-bones Land Cruiser

"As lovers of nostalgic cars, a common gripe is that modern machines have too many bells and whistles, too many electronic nannies that stand between you and the driving experience. As it turns out, Toyota has heard your sad cries and just released a vehicle that has plenty of heritage, no-frills, is purpose-built, has two doors, and comes in a six-speed manual. No, it’s not a new sports car; it’s the Land Cruiser Utility Commercial."

I read the article on JNC and immediately thought of many of you

So? Would you buy it?

I know for a fact that a bunch of you will see the pic of the rear area and have a million camper ideas lol.

It smelled of something that wouldn't make it state side but the article wasn't super clear about that piece and didn't research further.

It certainly is ugly enough to be a Toyota U.S. market offering.

actually, i kind of like that it doesn't have the 'fishmouth' front end that seems to be the staple of current toyotas. the rounded edges are a nice throwback. just substitute with the classic 'TOYOTA' emblem on the front grill and it's a winner in my book

When is Toyota going to come to it senses and realize the fish mouth front end is a LOSER!
