DC Header install question

Hey guys,

I just finished installing the header. Upon starting it I noticed that light white smoke was coming from the header. I don't think it's a leak as it doesn't smell like eexhaust and it virtually stopped after 2 mins.

Has anyone else noticed this issue, and is there a factory coating that needs to be burned off?

Engine runs fine and no CEL's.

Thanks

It's normal. I think it's the new gasket that need to "broken in" after first installation.

Thanks for the info. I started back on the car and installed the lowering springs and turned the car on to take it out for a test drive. No smoke coming from the header, there is obviously a coating of some sort on the header from the factory.

My Yaris is a ton of fun to drive now.

Just curious.. Did you install the header on stock exhaust?? (Everything after header stock?)
