U.O.A. '08 Yaris sedan : Pennzoil conventional 5w-30 (SN/GF-5 ) with ...

Toyota ( Denso ) oil filter . Head cylinder gasket replaced under warranty at 23,747 miles due to oil leak from #1 cylinder . Oil was tested yesterday .

Miles on oil : 4,510 ( in : 26,435 mis. , out : 30,945 mis. )

Time on oil : 11/21/10 > 5/9/11

Air Filter : Toyota 17801-0T030 ( installed 9/18/10 @ 24,359 mis. )

Previous oil / filter : SHELL conventional 5w-30 ( SM/GF-4 ) and TOYO oil filter

Here's the report from BLACKSTONE LABS :

COMMENTS : Thanks for the notes about the work that was done on this engine . It looks like all the problems are behind this engine now , at least based on this data . POTASSIUM and SODIUM both were low here , so we don't think any coolant was getting into your oil . Universal averages show typical wear levels for this type of engine after about 6,100 miles on the oil . Iron was a little high in comparison , but certainly not in the problem range , and the TBN was strong at 2.7 , so lots of active additive was left . 1.0 is low . Nice report .

Replaced Pennzoil conventional 5w-30 with SHELL full synthetic 5w-30 ( SN/GF-5 ) along with TOYO oil filter . This report and the 2010 3 door U.O.A. are somewhat alike . Here's that report for comparison , http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34042 . Will likely get an U.O.A. for the SHELL full synthetic in the fall for comaprison to the PENNZOIL conventional .

Here's the actual report . Plan to keep this car until it craps out . Feel more at ease with these results . Still keeping an eye on the coolant level of the resorvoir .
