Clutch feel on the TS

hey guys

just a quick question , how does your clutch grab and transition between gears feel ?

is it a smooth gear change , or does it bang into gear each time?

ah ok ... then i suppose mine is right ,after i did half the exhaust setup the car use to bang into gear under throttle , meaning i accelerate , the depress the clutch , engage the gear , the release and it kicks you quite hard into the seat as soon as you accelerate ... lately though its doesn't kick as hard into the seat , but the car still pulls well though ... just really weird.

You have a TS? Or is our clutch the same as what he has?

ok , here is before

say you pull away 1st to 2nd , 3rd etc , when i give it some gas , as i depress the clutch , change gear , then release the clutch use to grab quite hard , as you let it go completely it almost kicked you into the seat as you accelerate again.

at the moment ..

1st and 2nd feels almost the same but in 3rd when i release the clutch it is very smooth and not clutch kick at all ...

any idea's ?

is the clutch just worn in nicely ?

also under high speed the clutch engagement is totally smooth and clutch kick is felt , good or bad ? before there was more clutch kick ..

mine bangs into place as if it suddenly started to work.
not sure if its just me but the 2zrfe engine seems to be very very loose, seems to have too much movement when changing gears, i can feel the engine rock back when ever the loads is taken or apply back onto the drivetrain

mine use to bang in quite hard aswell , but is a little smoother now for some reason , still "kinda" bangs in but it ALOT smoother , not sure if it should be like that or not ?

i know the 2zrfe in the TS has a metal bar connected to the engine and the engine mount to stop it from rocking , maybe the feeling you getting is the clutch engaging hard ?

in 4th and 5th the clutch still engages quite hard just really 2nd and 3rd seems soother , not maybe sure if its the cars revs climbing a little smoother cause the engagement to be smoother ? possible ...

what mods do you have on your car ?

now that i think about it , it could have felt smoother in stock form , before i did exhaust and intake ... not 100% sure though

The clutch kicks when changing at high rpm, down low rpm its very smooth though, sometimes it almost jumps into second gear when racing the engine in first! What the hell does that mean lol?
