Does My 2009 Yaris Have the Killer Airbags?

Well? Is there a way to find out?

Thanks!

I looked into it and supposedly the killer airbags are all on pre2004 vehicles.

I DID skid on the ice last winter and went into a spin at about 15 mph and strike a guardrail head on although like I said the car was spinning.

Airbags didnt deploy thank heaven!

i got a recall notice for our 2002 Civic, so did a friend with her 03.

BUT, my friend with a 04 civic did not get the recall. My recall letter specifies 2002 and 2003 models only. Very strange.

Oh yeah.. we also have a 2001 Pathfinder, will have to check if my inlaws received a recall letter.

I haven't heard of any recalls on the 2007 Yaris at least only on the Spiral Cable.

I don't believe that we will see a recall for our 2nd gen Yaris airbags. They are made by a competitor to Takata (Daicel Safety Systems, Inc.)

When I had my 03 Civic, I had to take mine in for airbag recalls about 3 times. My Civic LX was a nice car, but it's high on the list for thieves. Someone tried to steal it by picking the lock. Mid 90s Civics get stolen the most. Kind of glad I got my Yaris. They don't seem to be as theft prone.
