Angry AC and heater fan quit blowing

I have a 2008 Yaris. A few weeks ago I noticed a sloshing sound under the glove box when the ac fan was going. the sloshing seemed to get worse when braking. Now today the fan quit blowing altogether! Anyone have any idea what I can check?

See if the drain hose in the HVAC plenum is blocked.

That's wouldn't cause the fan to stop blowing.

OP's description says the fan is dead. Could be the resistor, but that wouldn't cause the fan to make funny noise.
