Door Panel Light

hi guys,
i m currently having a 60cm LED strip.
i m planning to stick it underneath my door panel so tat when i open the door, the light will goes ON...

BUT i have no idea where can i hook up da wire to so that the light will ONLY turn on when the door is open. i taught of using the roof light but How? or are there any alternative ways to install it?

Yeah, I plan to get underglow on mine. It's illegal to drive with it here but it would look pretty damn sweet hooked up to that circuit so when I unlock my alarm at night, they'll fade in below the car. And fade out when I lock it. I'm stoked... just need to find a good place to get the strips for underneath.

yea, it is a GOOD idea..

but in that case u can't turn it on while u r driving yea?

correct.. which is ideal since you arent supposed to have them on while driving
