Check the ALT-S fuse. If it is bad, the alternator will not turn on and you will just run off battery power.

rider99 based on the electrical damage to the car. perhaps its not a bad idea that you get checked out too. You weren't grounded any more than the car was.

And while you may be feeling fine, your calcium and potassium are likely out of balance which could mean trouble in a few days.

What??????

In a car is about the safest place you can be when lightening strikes. Lightening is only an issue for the human body if it finds its path to ground through you. I have been on many an airplane that has actually been struck directly by lightening.

Just an update sent to dealer 3800 repair bill thank goodness for comprehensive and small deductibles
