just replaced mine today and my 07 sedan took about 2.2 quarts...
The oil that came out was very dark and shiny. Huge difference in shifting with the Redline 90MT. |

little less than 2 quarts . Let it drain for 1/2 an hour or so . Then refill with the REDLINE MT-90 or AMSOIL MTG in the filler hole until it trickles out . Is a bit messy , but well worth the effort .

If your gears are grinding i'd get that car back to the dealer and ask for them to fix it under warranty.

Moses, Steer Clear of Pepboys for ANY work. I went to them just once for 1 new tire. They broke a lug off and refused to fix it locally. I had to complain to Corporate and got 4 NEW tires of my choice and they paid for another garage to fix the lug. Of course I chose the most expensive tires in the store....Hey, I was going to be driving over 2200 hundred miles and I wanted to be comfortable.....lol

I love momentum.

As others have said, it takes just under two quarts. Do the change yourself, it's VERY easy.
I would also advise against EVER going to Pep Boys for any type of service. If you don't want to do the work yourself, ask around for a trusted local mechanic. |

I 3rd the no pep boys recommendation. My first bad experience with them was taking my wife's van in for an oil change- they "forgot" to put oil back into the car. 2nd bad experience was my MIL's van just recently (she'll never learn) she took it there for an oil change and tranny flush- they didnt refill the tranny fluid properly and the car lost power leaving the parking lot and into traffic- that was fun. They paid to fix that at my regular mechanic's shop and i ensured she had rental reimbursement for the weekend + 1 day.
So yeah, find a good mechanic- word of mouth is a powerful tool. |
