He must not have written back because when he installed it, it was all like, Back to the Future, and now he's lost in another time period!

Ha...ha. Either that or he's stuck on the side of the road somewhere.

Just in time for Christmas. Make sure not to floor it or you might wind up in a ditch, or speeding tickets out the wazoo! Be careful!

First thing to point out is that it comes with bare wires, they make it look like "plug 'n play". it isn't. So I'll have to tap into my wiring to try and use this. Hmmmph.

In the auction, the picture shown (above) has the quick connects on it as well so you know it's a wire tap. I think its the MAF wires you tap into if I'm not mstaken lol.

What do the install instructions look like? Same old two-wire IAT BS?

This is the one that piques my curiosity:
http://yhst-19807630266082.stores.yahoo.net/

I'm seen these on and off, and I'm 100% sure they're fake. They throw around a lot of fancy terms, but it seems like what they're claiming to do just isn't possible (the map never gets sent over the OBD-II port, so how is it being overridden?). Still, it's the most sophisticated fake I've seen yet and I kind of want to dump the ROM on it just to see what it IS doing....

It should be noted, that in this day and age, car manufacturers are erroring on the side of "rich" fuel mixtures to meet EPA2 regulations for emissions. Because of this, any additional increase in fuel mixture will tend to reduce power, decrease mileage, and cause various drivability issues (especially in lower rpm's, hesitation, bogging), as well as covering the back of your car in soot.

Most of your power gains in EPA2 vehicles are from LEANING your fuel mixtures out, not richening them. (Of course a bit of fuel added around the torque peak tends to help a bit).

Now looking at the yaris dyno's, it looks like the average person is running around a 12:1 around redline. Could probably lean that out to 12.5:1 or even 13:1 for additional power. Most people will agree richening that to a 11.5 or 11:1 isn't going to get you any ponies! (But at least your A/F isn't a mazda 9.7:1 Ratio!!!).

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the header/exhaust/intake dyno power gains are just from adjusting your A/F, and are only partially effected by flow. (Flow mods tend to lean out the A/F)

Haven't installed it yet, I'm going to wait until we can dyno before/after. As long as I'm doing this, might as well debunk it thoroughly.
