Exclamation Yaris after market radio not powering...

My aftermarket radio is not powering on after removing the fabric one. I've checked the fuse, (7.5 ACC) but is fine. My fabric radio was working before I cut the cables to install the new radio, Is this cars has a release button to activate the power?? Please help..............
Thanks,

No release button per se

Your aftermarket HU should show signs of life once you feed to it at least
- positive 12 v permanent (yellow)
- negative 12 v permanent - usually black
- acc (may be red, not sure) - 12 v (you should have power here when you insert the key in the keyhole and turn it to the position when your stock radio is on )

check the above (you may use some testing device to check whether the problem is power (any of the above not supplied to your HD) or the HU)

and do not forget to turn ON your new HU

Why did you cut any wires at all ? The wire harness for our cars cost between $6 and $12.

Thanks,

here is a harness (female side.. your car is male side) with color codes for wires - you can use it to check whether you made connections right (12+ constant, ground and accessory)
