HID Kit

Hello, I'm a newbie here, was suprised to see all the DIY posts in this forum for the Yaris. Was planning to install a HID kit for my wife's 09 Yaris, but not sure about a few things. So someone here that had installed the HID kit for their yaris maybe could help me answer them.

1) because the Yaris is using the 9003 bulbs, that the low and high beams are at the same bulb. so i'm just wondering for the 9003 HID kit, is it just plug and play?

2) i've head that for the bulbs with low/high together, sometimes they have to install the HID wires backwards in order for the HIDs to be on, but this way, will lose one light as DRL, is there a way to make the HIDs work, and have both the DRL on in day time?

3) for a 9003 HID kit, after it's installed, will i be lose the hi beam?

thank you all for your help.

Ed

On my 07 I bought a cheap hi/low kit for under 100 bucks. Everything was plug n play and it kept the DRLs and functioned exactly like stock just with HID's instead of halogens.

oh thanks. will you have hi beam after the mod?

I saw someone posted a DIY HID thread, that required to take the bumper and the head lights off and switched the black and blue wires on the connector?
