Maybe in the USA. You see lots of them over here in Canada. Plenty of Yarii/Echoes around too.

And shouldn't the plural of Matrix be Matrices?

What did you think of the Matrix?

Identical, no. While near identical, the Vibe sported different bumpers and interior treatments. Also has subtle sheet metal differences as well.

I have a 2005 Matrix XRS with the AWD and I love it. Although it doesn't seem much larger than my 2014 Yaris the rear hatch is probably at least double the size. As mentioned previously the rear seats fold and have a plastic backing, which is really nice. It's long enough for me to fit my skis (which would never happen in my Yaris) and the AWD is nice so it's my skiing car. To be honest my matrix is a higher trim model with some nice touches so a direct comparison isn't really fair. On gas mileage the it usually gets mid to high 20's with mixed driving and about 30 if all freeway. Overall a great car, but if I were to buy one today I would buy the pontiac vibe because it's a little bit cheaper and basically the same car.

I wish Subaru would bring back the AWD Justy or an equivalent.
