New Headlight Bulbs -- Any Recommendations?

Hi all,

My wife's 2008 Yaris just burnt out a headlight. I'd like to buy a nice set and just replace both while I'm in there.

Any recommendations as to what brand or model of headlight I should aim for?

Im running Phillips 100watt bulbs with relay packs on mine. Definetly worthwhile mod.

you should replace both anyways.. cuz once one is out, the other one is probably going to go shortly.

I've tried most every brand over the last 30 years. As of late, the best I've come across is the Osram brand.

And I've found that GE bulbs last longer then other brands(Philips being the worst).

You can't get the maximum of efficiency and lifetime at the same time.
Letting the filamet get hotter will speed up the halogen process.
Sadly, the atoms don't know where exactly to recrystalize (and THIS kills the bulb).
Lowering the filament temperature lets it last longer, but the efficiency gets worse (as the emission in total falls rapidly and the emission maximum shifts towards the infrared range).

Been almost 3 years and on my second set of bulbs. No problems

Philips X-treme Vision 9003 with up to 100% more light . Use them for the '08 sedan , they spread out to the sides better as if you had fogs . They had a $20 mail in rebate . Got the check , but it took up to 2 months or so .

I've had the best luck with the silverstar(sylvania)/osram ultras. They cost more than the regular bulbs but make a huge difference and last quite a while for being so bright. I'm on my 2nd set in 5 years.

That's what we're using and I love the light output on those little babies. We've been buying ours off of Amazon.

I'll be needing to pickup some extra plastic clips for the bumper next time I tear into our Yaris to replace headlight bulbs. Anyone know the part number for the clips I'll need? Ours have gotten kinda brittle over time and I think I've broken 3 so far over the course of owning the car since new.

Sylvania Silverstar Ultra. Used them on my last 3 cars (10 years or so). Just enough brightness for me and I can get new ones 5 minutes away and it takes 5 mins to replace.
