I have a huge purchasing problem..:(

so alright, im looking into a blazing blue 2 door hatchback, with power package, and all weather guard, and they tell me that i need to order 12 weeks in advance to get it by january.

problem is, i had the idea to just have the money by january, so i might be waiting another like 3 months just to get this car, so that would take me all the way to about march. is there anything i can do? i only have about $590 saved for the down payment so far, im waiting till i get $1500, from now on im just going to put my whole check into my bank account so i cant get it sooner.

also im only 17 and work at a subway....and next summer i'll be working a factory job to get myself about $600 a week to pay off as much as possible.

wait a minute, u dont have to pay any down payment if you order it now, do you? i thought people placed small refundable deposits (around $100) in order to secure a yaris of their choice (btw, dealerships have no actualy right to take deposits, but it solidifies your intention to buy...). check again to see whether down payment is due when you actually order your car, or when the car actually shows up on the dealer's lot. there have been many posts about dealers promising specific yarii, but never actually getting any of them, so u can get your refundable deposit back (i think most people who placed deposits just settled for a yarii with other options).

Yeah - A $500 or $1,000 deposit is pretty standard.

Have you thought about selling any surplus internal organs to get your downpayment sooner?

But he just write up an order for me

Blazing blue/PP/Weather pkg isn't rare.. yours should come within 2 months.

Paid $1000 deposit. Ordered what I wanted.exactly....dealer put in to factory for the spec changes required....had it built & shipped .
Took approx 12 weeks

Deposit with a honest deler make sure you get what you want...or they loose
a. the money
b. the order
c. any local credibility (if u live somewhere small)

Heard an ad on the radion this morning for 'guinea pigs' to help further advances in medicine....for a cash reimbursement. Well, if the extra head isn't going to bother you...........

yeah, you could put down a $500 deposit, and just save up until they get your car in, then pay them all that you have then, and just finance what ever is left over after that, would mostlikley need a co-signer though.

thats what i would do, if i was in your situation :) that way you can save money, and not have to wait extra long to get your car :)

Perhaps curtailing use of the ina would allow you to put together the necessary funds for the down payment....

cocaine's one hell of a drug...
