Wilderness adventures via dog sled! Man that was the most random thing I've seen in a long time.

Also, gotta love the guy asking about all our "Hondas".

Overall a very superb meet. Great road, great people, great pictures. Would've been flawless but there was traffic on 80 on the way home.

I really love the rolling shots! Gotta get the Yaris as low as those Matrixes though...

What's the deal with some of these cars with the tagged-on hoods?

Hey James, how does your friend take panning shots so easily? They're friggin' crisp and nice. Kudos to him!

Yes, that's a stock spoiler.

It's more of a lip than a spoiler..

I just noticed that Mini TRD has a very subtle roll call along the bottom of his sideskirts.

Looks good!

A quick shutter and about 10 photos taken for each car, one of them is bound to be good!

He was disappointed he didn't get everyone, but since you guys had no idea where we were on the side of the road it was hard to prepare, but a few were following each other too closely for him to get a good lead on them.

What a good idea to do a country run like that. We need to do something simular in So Cal that has a nice bridge to go over and view the water below.
Anyway nice pics definately goods times.

OH! hahaha, I thought he only had enough time to take one pic, I didn't know he had enough time to take 10 shots for each car.

lol, are you referring to Taylor tailing me?

Yeah, the 50D can do like 6 frames a second, so he was able to take quite a few pictures in those few seconds as you guys all passed us.

He was actively focusing too, I thought he had a set focal point and just assumed that eventually one of the pictures would be taken with the car at the correct distance.

lol, no not just Taylor, there were a few cars that were too bunched up together, but again, no one knew where we were on the side of the road so it was no biggie, just some people didn't get any shots of their car!

Excellent pictures! He has a good 'eye' for photography. That was a blast! For those that don't know about that bridge, here's the info from Wikipedia:

"The Foresthill Bridge over the American River is the tallest bridge in the U.S. state of California. It is sometimes referred to as the Auburn-Foresthill Bridge or the Auburn Bridge.

Originally constructed to accompany the Auburn Dam, the bridge stands 730 feet above the riverbed. It was built in 1971 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries and opened in 1973. The bridge spans the North Fork of the American River between the towns of Auburn and Foresthill in the Sierra Foothills. Pedestrians can walk the length of the bridge in both directions. There is anti-Auburn Dam graffiti, showing protest of the planned dam, on the bridge's underside. The bridge has become a popular site for BASE jumping.

The bridge can be seen in the beginning of the action movie xXx in which Vin Diesel's character Xander Cage is seen driving a stolen red Chevrolet Corvette off of it, then jumping from the car mid-flight and parachuting to his accomplices at the bottom of the American River Canyon"

My pics can be found here: http://pbckt.com/sG.3pJ

Note: I won't be using that hood anymore since it vignettes the pics too much, plus rotates with focus (not cool). I'll be getting my polarizer back from my friend. Also, it's pretty hard to drive and take pics at the same time. LOL.
