Angry 2010 YARIS 3 door : RATTLE : air vent on the passenger side ...

has a very loud rattle . Just started during the 80+ degree temps and has remained since . You push down on it and it stops . Anyone else have this ? A fix ? You can hear it above the music too . So much for that fix .

Nope, don't have that problem. Nothing flopping around the cabin filter box?

nope . It's the air vent . I'll have to remove the glove box and take a look up inside with a flashlight . Maybe some sticky back felt or 2 sided tape will diminish it .

I thought I had the same problem once and I could never make it stop. Turns out that the noise was actually was coming from the rear window 3rd stoplight. I stuffed some high density foam under it and stopped the noise.

it's the air vent . Sat there listening to it while she drove . Would push down on it and stopped . I'm aware of the stop light in the hatch door . The panel itself rattles up in the upper corners where it meets the window . They hit against the metal of the hatch door . black sticky back felt helps with that .

take it back to the dealer, as the car is 2010, there could be a clip that broke when they fitted into the dash, also dont tell the dealer you tried fixing it, they will fix it and bill you,
